Поcмотри один абзац c Интернета:
"Simply the biggest ski resort in the world: discover the immensity of the Swiss and French Alps. 2 countries, 14 stations, 208 Lifts, 288 slopes, 700 km of pistes, 243 km of Nordic skiing, 8 Snow parks.
During a seven day holiday it is possible to ski in a different area each day. A daytrip to Les Gets/Morzine, Linga, Avoriaz or Chatel/Torgon. Breakfast in Switzerland; lunch in France and back to Switzerland for a well earned après-ski drink. There are large ski bowls throughout the Portes du Soleil where you will find black runs next to blue runs, so everyone can choose their own route. The ski area is also well known for its large number of inexpensive mountain restaurants offering a large choice of menus.
Whether you are a beginner, an advanced skier, a mixed ability group or a family, the vast area of the Portes du Soleil provides skiing for all standards. There are some spectacular ski runs like the Swiss Wall and the Coupe du Monde. And after a fresh fall of snow much of the off-piste remains unskied for days. The Portes du Soleil compliments itself with one of the cheapest Ski Passes in the Alps"

I've been there, so?
Sounds like a huge resort, sounds only.. not more..
And the swiss side of the resort could be much better... slow and old lifts.
Sometimes you have to take a bus or to walk a long way just for to reach another lift.
I would't reccomend to stay on swiss side.

Avoriaz yes, this is a good and nice place for skiing and for living also...By the way, Avoriaz is equiped with a few old lifts too..
